“I am very fond of sunsets. Come, let’s go look at a sunset now.” So said The Little Prince.
We live in the Negev Desert of south Israel, here we do have beautiful sunsets that color the desert in the golden red color of evening. Often My Dear notices “if I were on vacation, I would definitely photograph that sunset”. That is what we do: photograph on our vacations. In our busy everyday life, it is possible to see and enjoy a beautiful sunset but without a camera.
Recently on a tour to Denmark, North Sjælland on the coast of Kattegat. Our house had a beautiful view over the sea.
The sun sets late in Denmark in June, but that is good, the afternoons get longer for taking trips.
Waiting for the dinner to get ready we enjoyed the sunsets over the sea, which is different from home. Even better with a glass of cold white wine and discussing what we did today and what we might do for tomorrow if the weather allows it.
My words for this display: an explosion of color, magic, magnificent, astonishing beautiful, celestial light, cosmic splendor.

What the Little Prince did not dare to confess was that he was sorry most of all to leave the planet, because it was blessed everyday with 1440 sunsets!
I did not see 1440 sunsets on the Kattegat coast, but I did come home with many photos of sunsets, a selection of which I put here.

On different days the color is a little bit different; but also on the same day at different times.
