For somebody who lives in the Negev, the Israeli Desert, to stay for a week on the coast is especially exiting, to see the sea every day. I have already posted my photos of the sunsets.
The coast
The coast line on Kattegat, Denmark
During the day to sit and observe the comings and going of everything, is calming and relaxing. Somebody gave me a quote: “The sea is a desert of waves. A wilderness of water” I looked it up, it is by Langston Hughes, an American poet. But that describes quite well what you see when you look at the sea; it is desolate far between people, no trees,
so in that way it may be called a desert if you only look at it from a nature view, because of course water is the basis for our existence and what is under water is very important for us all.
It looks like a fisherman, a few stones put together, nice
Sitting quietly, you can also observe the birds, fishing and eating, fighting over a rock in the sea that is visible because of low tide.
A wilderness of water, a lonely seagull
The Seagull went fishing
and caught a crap, delicious
Co-existence
A war broke out between the cormorants, very noisy
Peace and quiet is restored, there was one more rock to rest on
The oystercatcher
and a friend looking for a snack
The ducks arrive from afar, I would like to ask from where, but we have a language barrier
The ducks coming to rest
When you observe the events on the seashore, there were many boats coming and going, populating the surface of the water, so not so much a desert.
Blue and more blue
I wonder, if this is laziness or is she being taught a lesson?
Perhaps from Greenland
To see the waves coming and going. All together a relaxing way to spend part of my vacation.
